I chose to illustrate a short poem by Octavio Paz because it speaks of the perception between reality and the indefinite. At the same time, it evokes the memory of a loved one and the refusal of oblivion, without nostalgia. This print was born from a sketch in front of my house. The evanescent mists dispersing in the valleys seemed to draw a character floating in the air, like a ghostly vision.

J’ai choisi d’illustrer un courte poésie d’Octavio Paz car elle parle de la perception entre la réalité et l’indéfini. En même temps, elle évoque le souvenir d’un être cher et le refus de l’oubli, sans nostalgie. Cette gravure est née d’un croquis devant chez moi. Les brumes évanescentes se dispersant dans les vallons semblaient dessiner un personnage flottant dans l’air, comme une vision fantomatique.
